Actress Toyin Abraham Debunks Reports That She Has Replaced Funke Akindele As NCDC Ambassador

For many days now stories have been circulating in the media that actress Toyin Abraham has now officially replaced embattled Funke Akindele as the brand ambassador for the NCDC. Funke Akindele was arrested and spent many days in detention after she organized a party with her husband. 

Her actions were widely criticised while rumours that many top actresses were shopping for her position as brand ambassador also heightened.

But following the return of popular actress Funke Akindele back to social media and her normal life, actress Toyin Abraham who was alleged to have replaced Funke Akindele as the brand ambassador for the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has publicly denied the allegation claiming that mischief-makers were behind the false reports making the rounds.

Actress Toyin maintained that she has always been involved in public enlightenment campaigns against the deadly coronavirus but had never contended for the position of brand ambassador against Funke Akindele in any organization. She admitted that she was in advocacy videos that was circulated to enlighten the public about Covid19 but has not been named as Funke Akindele's replacement for the NCDC position.

Toyin Abraham referred to Funke Akindele as a senior colleague and warned people who are bent on creating mistrust among celebrities to desist from such actions. Her fans that commented on her Instagram post where she made the rebuttal agreed with her that she never tried to take Funke Akindele's position instead she is one celebrity that has shown a commitment to educating the public on how to stay safe from Covid19 long before Funke Akindele was arrested for violating the lockdown order.
