Nigeria veteran Mad-Melon Cause of Death Reveal

Nigeria veteran Mad-Melon of Danfo Driver member of one of Nigeria’s legendary music groups, Danfo Drivers – Oghenemaro Emeofa popularly known as ‘Mad Melon’, has died.

The cause of Mad Melon’s death has now been disclosed by his son after his bandmate, Mountain Black alleged that the deceased singer was forsaken by the music industry and that led to his death. His son says he died of drug abuse.

According to the 18-year-old blood son Jambite, Mad-Melon was in the habit of doing hard drugs and wouldn’t stick to anyone’s advice to cut down on the habit.

Consequently, he got inflicted with Tuberculosis which paved the way for his early exit from the world.

 This was revealed in a chat during a condolence visit to the family, at their Lagos residence.

The boy said; “He didn’t take his health seriously. He was still indulging in those bad habits he was warned to desist from. His death is painful despite his shortcomings. We heard the news of his death and decided to rush down. I will try my best to take of my mother. I am the man in the house now. Any time I remember him, it pains me in my heart.”

Revealing that his late dad paid less attention to his health, he added; “I don’t know what to do. I can’t cry, neither can I laugh. He didn’t stay away from certain things were harmful to his health. I think that was what led to his death.”

According to the management of the group in a statement, the artiste died on25th September Wednesday night after a brief illness.

The statement said, “The management of Mad Melon and Mountain Black aka Danfo Drivers, wishes to announce to the general public the passing of Oghenemaro Emeofa aka Mad Melon.

“A true legend has fallen. May God grant his family, groupmate (Mountain Black), well-wishers and friends the fortitude to bear the loss.”
