Vice President of Nigeria Yemi Osinbanjo recommend Lagos state government.

The Vice President of Nigeria Yemi Osinbanjo has commended the Lagos State government and its legislature for taking the lead in deepening federalism.

The vice president gave the commendation in Lagos while delivering a lecture at the special parliamentary session in commemoration of the third anniversary of the 8th assembly. 

He noted that some legislations of the Lagos state house of assembly have contributed immensely to the growth of federalism in Nigeria 

The vice president further explained that strengthening the legislature, executive and the judiciary arms of state government is key to eradicating poverty in the country.

Governor, Akinwumi Ambode the Lagos Governor and his Osun State counterpart Rauf Aregbesola who also spoke at the parliamentary session reveal that a cordial relationship between the executive, legislature and the judiciary arms of government is paramount to the sustenance of democracy in the country.

Dignitaries at the event included the House of Representatives majority leader, Femi Gbajabiamila, APC national legal adviser, Babatunde Ogala among others.
